THE METER What one answer costs.
A delivered answer costs one credit, plus one for each live read or analysis run behind it, up to four more. Five credits is the most any answer costs. An answer that never arrived costs nothing.

ALLOWANCES How far an allowance goes.
A plain answer costs 1 credit. A full-depth answer made four or more tool calls and costs 5. Real months mix both.

A PDF costs half a credit a page, rounded up, once per version per source. Every other file costs nothing to process.

LIMITS When the credits run out.
When the month's credits run out, the chat stops taking new questions until the 1st or until you add a bundle. Nothing is deleted. Your users never see a billing message.
PLAN CHANGES Changing plans.
An upgrade applies at once, with the prorated difference charged at once. A downgrade applies at the end of the current period. A move to Free applies at the end of the period paid for. Plan changes happen in the console.

Does STEWARD charge per seat?
STEWARD has no per-seat price. No lever counts people.
Will my users ever see a billing message?
STEWARD never shows end users a billing message. At zero credits the widget shows its refusal copy, with no tier, limit or count.
Does STEWARD charge when an answer fails?
STEWARD charges nothing when nothing was delivered: a timeout, an error, a refused question and the canned “try again” cost nothing. A delivered answer is charged even when one of its tool calls failed, because the work was done.
Does STEWARD bill overage?
STEWARD has no overage. Extra capacity is a bundle or a contract term.
Do STEWARD bundle credits expire?
STEWARD bundle credits never expire. They are forfeited only when the account is deleted.
Does unused STEWARD allowance roll over?
The STEWARD allowance resets on the 1st, UTC. Unused allowance does not roll over.
What happens to our data if we stop paying?
STEWARD deletes nothing. The account runs on Free's levers until a plan is chosen again.
Does a Free STEWARD account lose anything when idle?
A Free STEWARD account with no use for 30 days loses its data sources. Every member gets an email at day 23.
Do STEWARD prices include tax?
STEWARD prices are in USD, before tax.
Can we pay STEWARD from a bank account?
STEWARD takes a US bank account for bundles. Subscriptions take cards.
Does STEWARD refund subscriptions?
STEWARD does not refund subscription fees. Moving to Free ends the plan at the end of the period paid for. Exceptions go to hello@soleum.io.
